Nexford University has entered into a strategic partnership with UPI Study through an Articulation Agreement, effective April 24, 2026. This agreement establishes a formal pathway for learners to transfer credits toward undergraduate degrees at Nexford. The collaboration will enable Nexford to assess UPI Study courses, which carry ACE and NCCRS credit recommendations, for credit transfers into its undergraduate programs. Learners have the opportunity to select from nearly 70 courses aligned with Nexford’s offerings in fields such as business, computer science, AI, math, science, and social sciences, all available fully online and at a self-determined pace, either prior to or during their enrollment at Nexford.
Designed to cater to working adults, career changers, and busy learners, this pathway offers a more efficient and cost-effective route to earning a degree. By allowing students to bring in credits from these courses, it reduces both the time required to graduate and the overall cost of the degree. Dr. Ann Larson, Nexford University’s Chief Academic Officer, emphasized, “At Nexford, we believe the path to a degree should fit the life you already have, not the other way around. This partnership with UPI Study gives learners a credible, recognized way to build toward their degree before they ever enroll. That’s the kind of access we were built to create.”
UPI Study provides self-paced, ACE and NCCRS-recommended college-level courses starting at $89 per month, offering a more affordable alternative compared to traditional community colleges, which typically charge between $300 to $600 per credit hour. Students can complete individual courses, earn an official transcript, and have their credits evaluated directly by Nexford. For more information, learners can access the full course equivalency guide, which is available online.
Nexford University is a forward-thinking institution based in Washington, DC, focused on career outcomes rather than traditional educational practices. Similarly, UPI Study offers flexible, self-paced online courses that are widely accepted by over 2,100 universities.
